How to Tune Your Simagic Base in iRacing
Force feedback can make or break your sim racing experience. If you’re using a Simagic Alpha Evo or Alpha series, you’re sitting on a ton of performance potential.
In our latest YouTube video, we walk through how to use iRacing’s built-in Auto function and Simagic’s SimPro Manager 2.1.0 to get your FFB dialed in for precision, responsiveness, and immersion.
Why Auto Tune in iRacing Matters
If your FFB is too strong for your wheelbase, it can clip, meaning you’re losing signal and missing key details like tire slip, curb strikes, and load transfer. iRacing’s Auto feature helps prevent that by adjusting the strength based on your wheelbase torque, the car you’re driving, and the track conditions.
Evo Sport vs. Alpha Ultimate: Real-World Test
In the video:
-
Jake runs the Simagic Alpha Evo Sport (9Nm) with the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 at Brands Hatch.
-
Darin drives the Alpha Ultimate (23Nm) with the Dallara IR-18 IndyCar at Indy.
This side-by-side comparison helps show how tuning can vary depending on car, torque output, and driving style.
